Youash was born in Kirkuk, Iraq where he completed his primary schooling. He moved to Australia in 1969 where he completed his secondary and tertiary education and, more recently, a degree in business. Youash is a qualified property valuer and manages his own business. He is of the opinion that every Assyrian has a responsibility to maintain our unique language and culture and only in bet-Nahrain can we truly distinguish ourselves.

Shoushan was born in Kirkuk, Iraq and arrived in Australia in 1969. Here she completed her secondary schooling and followed with a diploma in Advanced Accounting. She is currently reading a bachelor of Commerce-Accounting and employed as a financial controller's assistant. She is pleased to have the opportunity to be part of a group that supports the Assyrian community in our homeland where the Assyrian language and culture can survive. Shoushan takes the role of Treasurer.

Dr Said was born in Alqosh, Iraq. Between 1961 and 1975 he read his doctorate in electrical engineering at London University. While there, Dr Said was also active in Assyrian socio-political and academic movements. He then spent the next 15 years in the middle-east before arriving in Australia in 1989 to become president of T.A.A.A.S, the Assyrian Australian National Federation, and Zowaa supporters. Dr Said believes that Assyrians need to unite, regardless of birthplace or denomination. Dr Said takes the role of president.

George was born in Mosul, Iraq. 1981 complete Technical diploma in Surveying (Institute of Mosul). Arrived in Australia 1994 working as a leading hand in Westgate Logistics company. Zowaa member since 1995.

Sami was born in Baghdad ,Iraq . He has first degree in Mathematic (Iraq) and second degree in Statistics and Operation Research  (Melbourne) , more recently a graduate diploma in Web Computing. Employed as Business analyst programmer.

He was Member of Assyrian youth group of Victoria and member of Assyrian church committee. He believes supporting Assyrian villages in Bet-Nahrain is the way to keep Assyrian identity.

Adsen Iesho, Core Committee Member

Adsen was born in Baghdad, Iraq. He completed his High School Certificate at Fairvale High School in Sydney in 1987, and was awarded the Dux of school medal.  He complete a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Sydney in 1991, and then went further to complete his Post Graduate in Applied Computing at the University of Technology, Sydney in 1993.

Adsen is one of the founders of TAAAS (The Assyrian Australian Academic Society), and its president at establishment. Currently Adsen is self employed and is the director of Diglath Pty Ltd, providing software development and consulting services.

Education, determination, positive thinking, are the things that we need to equip ourselves with as Assyrians of the 21st century.
